How To Treat Skin Allergies At Home
Bumps, itching, redness, rashes and other conditions are relatively very common although their exact cause (s) may not be easily identifiable.
Causes may include allergic reactions to medication/food, plants or an illness like measles.
In most cases, the symptoms do go away on their own within a week or so but there are a few things you can do at home to make it a little more comfortable. Here are a few natural ways on how to treat skin allergies.
-
Dab Apple Cider Vinegar
Cedar vinegar is one of the most popular natural remedies for a myriad of conditions, and it can also help ease your symptoms. It is a very effective anti-bacterial, antiseptic and anti-fungal agent that is known to relieve itching, especially itching caused by dry skin like sunburns and dandruff. Simply put a few drops of raw ACV onto a washcloth and gently dab it onto the affected area.

Soak in Colloidal oatmeal
Colloidal oatmeal is simply oatmeal that’s ground to powder so it mixes easily with water. It has for many years been used as a soothing agent to provide relief from itching, irritation and inflammation often associated with several skin conditions. To use, add a few cups of colloidal oatmeal to your bath and soak for at least 10 minutes. Repeat the bath (up to 3 times a day according to the severity of your condition). You should only use lukewarm water as hot water can irritate your skin.

Try Aloe Vera
Although probably well-known for its ability to treat sunburns, you can use Aloe Vera for nearly every type of skin irritation. It is rich in vitamins & minerals that can help soothe your skin as well as relieve swelling and irritation. It can also reduce redness, inflammation and discomfort. Simply break off a leaf and slowly cut it open from top to bottom. Now scoop out the gel inside and then rub it onto the irritated skin. You can repeat this as needed.

Combine Coconut & Tea Tree Oil
Another natural way on how to treat skin allergies is to apply a mixture of coconut and tea tree oil. Both are powerful anti-fungal agents that can also sooth red spots and even sores associated with skin rashes. Combine a few drops of tea tree oil with raw, cold pressed coconut oil and apply after you shower. For best results, pat dry once it has set and repeat this daily. While this solution may take up to a couple weeks to cure rashes, it can provide instant relief for itching.…
